LONGER TEXT:
There is a conception of time, for example “World time” that shows the formation of the
universe another is “Geological time” which is the time from the formation of our planet
earth and the last one is the “Human time” that is the human history. These scales of
different time formations come out when the stream of anthropocene thinking is
activated in our consciousness. They emerge from the climate and weather changing
the world, which then turned into ideologies that perform through systems like
care-capital, organic-consumptions and cultural celebration of indigenous knowledge.
My attempt is to register the time that is “unknown”. It's always there amongst us but
we are unable to receive its potentiality. These triangles of time contaminating each
other and created the solid, lucid, tangible, powered, ephemeral, transformative and
unavoidable presence that breathes. I share air with that entity. It pollutes world time,
geological time and human time which unites and challenges the infinity of the
expanded world. What it speaks is not achievable in translation of language, it travelled
from the Big Bang and fell under the human waste infrastructure. It's not only the
material chemistry of human waste but becoming symbolic of not pure, conceptualised
as toxins, death, evil, less than life. These conceptualisations are the foundations of
human civilisations that have been ruled under the theology, spirituality, sociology,
economy, philosophy, art and everyday epistem of life. The symbol of impure has been
retroactively enlightened what we understand as the pure not only transcendently but
materially.
The landscape of deep mess, bodies on bodies, organic on inorganic, leftovers of
resources, decaying, evaporating as environment, gases crossing identities, fermenting
materiality drawing abstraction as findings of impurity. The vibrancy within the
landscape more than the eye of the perspective; it is an image that is history of time,
unknown time working untimely.
SHORTER TEXT:
My work aims to capture an "unknown" time, present but elusive, where these temporal scales intermingle, creating a tangible, transformative force that challenges infinite existence. This entity, born from cosmic and human waste, symbolises impurity, a concept deeply rooted in human civilisation and transcending into realms of theology, philosophy, and art. This landscape of decay and abstraction reveals a vibrant, untimely history of impurity.
