Construed out of his consistent fondness for found objects, 'Village' is Ritesh's interpretation of an aerial view of a village setting. Made with scissors, grinders, hammer and hands, the brass sheets have been beaten and bent to form objects that may seem familiar, but mostly remain unidentifiable.
Weld and held together with screws, one can easily notice the object's movement withheld within the structure, almost as if the objects were looking for a space to fit into; like framework of the universe or a clock or a village. Even though the objects seem interspersed, they have inhabited a space - temporary or permanent, temporal or worldly, one could always debate.
