The internal spacing of the work is generated through a squared circle geometry giving the inner and outer concentric circles. The seven inner gilded circles follow Vedic lore which consists of seven underworlds, the Earth orbited by the Sun (Siva), beyond which are the orbits of the Moon (Chandra), asterism (the constellations or twelve houses of
the Zodiac), the visible planets and four additional spheres, surrounded by countless Universes. These concentric bands are then enveloped by the twenty- eight Nakshatras, (phases of the moon). There are 27 Nakshatra’s (phases of the moon), this being the Vedic calendar, however, in the final work I return to the 28-day cycles of the modern period.
