Continuum (after Jitish Kallat): 60 Years of Gallery Chemould | Group Show

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Chemould Prescott Road, we are delighted to present an exhibition titled "Continuum" (after by Jitish Kallat) featuring 10 emerging Indian artists, opening on Thursday, 14th September 2023 at Chemould CoLab. The artworks here encompass several types of media, ranging painting, ceramics, photography, textile, metal, and drawing. Each participating artist has carefully studied and engaged with the works of artists from Chemould Prescott Road. They responded to process, themes, material and discussion to expand their own practices today. Exploring topics such as dowry, queer identity, cosmology, pigments and fossils, the body, landscape, and utopia, this exhibition invites viewers to journey through time; they see the present through the lens of the past and look ahead to the future.
